Outdoor sculpture
All outdoor sculpture including stone, wood, bronze, steel and other metals will benefit from on-going regular maintenance. Outdoor sculptures are especially vulnerable to vandalism, organic growth, bird droppings, and environmental corrosion. Early detection of oxidation, corrosion or infestation will protect your investment.
Glass sculpture
Glass sculpture is a magnet for dust buildup. We are fully equipped and trained to clean your valuable glass art including works suspended from the ceiling.
Works on paper
Framed original art work, prints, photographs, historical documents, etc. are at risk for deterioration when poor framing materials are in direct contact with the art work. A skilled conservation framer is available to evaluate the framing materials and recommend archival upgrades or the need for a conservator. Click to go to Archival Framing.
Works on canvas
Oil and acrylic paintings on canvas should be cleaned annually to prevent dust build up which eventually becomes grime on the surface and requires removal by a professional conservator. Regular professional cleaning by Artech trained staff will eliminate dust build up and infestations, which are invisible from the surface and lurk in the spaces between canvas, stretcher bars and frames. Art Documentation Services
Artech offers full collection documentation, condition reporting, and maintenance recommendations and services. Our knowledgeable staff will photograph each art work, highlight specific areas of concern, and provide a guideline to protecting your art. Art documentation is appropriate for large public collections, private collectors and dealers. |
